If your centre uses a shared email inbox (like [email protected]
), you can still create individual Mana logins for each team member using a feature called plus addressing.
This allows each staff member to have their own account, profile, and secure login — all while linking back to your centre’s main email address.
What is Plus Addressing?
Plus addressing (also known as subaddressing) is supported by most major email providers. It lets you add a custom tag to your main email without affecting delivery.
For example, if your centre email is:
You can invite staff using versions like:
All emails will still go to your main inbox, but each address is treated as unique when creating accounts on Mana.
How to Invite Staff Using Plus Addressing
Log in to Mana and click on the profile icon.
Select your centre's account (e.g. "Your Centre").
Click on the profile icon again and go to Team Settings.
Click on Members.
In the top right corner, click +Invite.
Add your team members' unique plus addressed emails (e.g.
[email protected]
).
What Happens Next
The invitation email will be sent to your main inbox (
[email protected]
) but addressed to the unique user (+jsmith
in this case).Find the invite and forward or guide the intended team member (e.g. "JSmith") to use that link to sign up.
They can set their password, customise their profile, and start using Mana with their own login.
Using this approach allows you to maintain secure and personalised access for every educator, while managing invites from a single central inbox.
