Spontaneous Moments gives you a place for a child’s learning that does not need to sit within their current Journey. Use it to recognise unexpected learning without forcing every observation into the current plan.
Find a child’s Spontaneous Moments
In Mana on the web, open Journeys and use Search children to find the child.
Open the child’s three-dot menu and select Spontaneous moments. You can also open Profile → Learning → Spontaneous Moments.
Check Today, Last 30 days or Over 30 days. This History view is fixed to the selected child.
Open the document you want to read.
Move a saved document out of a Journey
Open the saved document in the child’s Journey. Check that it is the intended child and document.
Select Follow Ups. In the Journey section, select Move to Moments.
Read the Move to Spontaneous Moments confirmation. Select Move to Moments to continue, or Keep in Journey to cancel.
After the move finishes, check the child’s Spontaneous moments list for the document.
Move a moment into the active Journey
Open the saved document from the child’s Spontaneous moments list and select Moments.
Select Move to Journey. The confirmation explains that the document will move into the child’s current active Journey.
Select Move to Journey to continue, or Keep in Moments to cancel. Check the destination after the move finishes.
The child needs an active Journey for this action. If the option is missing or the document does not appear in the expected place, check the child and your access with a manager or contact Mana. Do not repeat the move just because the view has not refreshed.
