Welcome to Mana!

We’re so excited to have you join us. As parents and family members, you play the most important role in a child’s learning and growth. Mana is here to support and celebrate that role- helping you stay connected to your child’s day, their milestones, and the wonderful moments of learning as they happen.

Mana is designed with children at heart. It makes it easy to:

  • See learning in action – receive updates, photos, and stories from your child’s educators.

  • Stay connected – share special moments from home, send messages, and feel part of your child’s learning journey.

  • Build strong partnerships – work together with educators to nurture your child’s interests and development.

This guide will walk you through everything you need to get started with Mana as a family. To make the most of your experience, we recommend following the simple steps in the ‘Activating Mana for families’ section so you’re ready to explore, connect, and enjoy.

You will need:

  • to have received an invitation from your child's educators

  • access to your email which was invited

  • access to the internet

  • to have the Mana app downloaded on your phone/tablet

How to get started with Mana:

1. Complete your child's "All about me"

The All About Me feature lets you share important information about your child with educators- interests, routines, family, and cultural background- so educators can understand and support your child even better.

  • Fill it in with Coach Sue
Our friendly guide, Coach Sue, will walk you through the form to capture things like interests, likes, dislikes, and family goals.

  • Automatically linked
Your child’s profile is updated automatically, giving educators a rich, holistic view that helps shape meaningful learning experiences.

2. Keep an eye out for "Catch Ups"

Catch ups are your way of staying informed whenever an educator shares something new about your child. When an update is shared- like a learning story, community update, or a learning plan, you’ll be notified with a Catch up. Click into it so see the details, so you’ll never miss a moment.

  • Mark as Read/Unread: Finished reading? Tap Mark as Read OR swipe to the right to clear it from your notifications.

  • Comment: See something that made you smile? Leave a comment to let the educator know! It's a great way to stay engaged and be part of your child's experience.

3. Explore "Magic Moments"

Magic Moments capture your child's special learning experiences at their early learning centre. These moments highlight key achievements, discoveries, and social connections.

Mana may curate Magic Moments from multiple learning stories and observations, bringing together key insights to give you a clear picture of your child's progress and development.

4. Take action with the "Continue at home" section

Home Activities are personalised learning experiences generated by Mana based on your child's Magic Moments. These activities are designed to build on what your child is exploring at their early learning centre, helping reinforce skills and encourage curiosity.

Continuing learning at home supports confidence, creativity, and deeper understanding-all while making learning fun and meaningful for your child! Try these simple activities to extend their experiences beyond the classroom.

5. Stay connected through "Chats"

Find the chat tab on your screen to connect with your child's educators or centre.

Your Chat Sections:

  • Family Chat- Channel with your child's educators.

  • Room Chat- Connect with all educators and families in your child’s room.

  • Centre Updates- Read important announcements from your centre manager.

Families can’t create new chats, but your centre may add you to new channels when needed.

6. Revisit shared documents in the "Activity" section

You can always head over to the Activity section to revisit any past updates, stories, or plans.

7. Follow along on your child's Journey

Journeys outline key learning milestones your child is working towards. These are set by educators to support their development and ensure a rich and meaningful learning journey. As your child progresses, completed journeys will be archived for you to look back on.
💡 Select "See all" next to "Journeys" to browse through all journeys that are active or completed.
