Mana is capable of learning how you like to write and sound like you using just a short passage of text. Once you go through the following steps, you will start to see that your learning documentation sounds more like you!

Set up your writing style through your settings

Centres and organisations can set a Team Writing Style at an organisational level. Educators can then set their own preferences as an additional layer to personalise documents, blending team and personal influences into their writing.

  1. Log into Mana and click on your Profile icon in the top left corner of your screen

  2. Select "Settings" and make sure your "Personal" tab is selected (if applicable)

  3. Under the Learning & Development section, select "Writing Style"

  4. Click "Edit" next to "A sample of my writing"

  5. Provide a paragraph of your previous writing (such as a previous learning story or observation that you have written).

  6. Click “Update”

Writing modes in Mana

We have introduced 3 new writing modes to further personalise your experience writing and developing documentation in Mana:

  1. Write with Mana

  2. Fix spelling & grammar

  3. Write with no assistance

Provide feedback to Mana on your writing

When you are developing documents with Mana, you can provide instant feedback to update your writing in Mana. You will see a "What should I change?" box at the bottom of your screen as you are developing your documents. (This replaces the previous "Magic Edit" button).

  • In this field you can explain exactly how you would like the text to change: whether it's adjusting wording, adding more or less detail or taking on a different tone of voice.

  • Once you let Mana know what to change, Mana will take your feedback on board and update the story or document based on that feedback
