1

Begin the cycle:
Reflect on your knowledge of the child (or previous cycle), and conversations with families and colleagues, to create a

journey in Mana for that child:

  • Think of a journey as a cycle of planning spanning a period of time

  • You only need 1 journey per child

  • Create 1-2 goal within each journey based on your latest observation of that child’s learning

2

Observe & Assess (Notice & Recognise):
Write an individual learning story for some of your key children to observe and assess their current learning.

💡Select ‘Learning Story’ as your document type

3

Plan (Respond):

Create a follow up plan/s from the learning story for each key child to support them towards their goal.
💡Select the blue ‘Plan’ as your document type to generate a plan based on your previous learning story

4

Implement:

Implement plans within the room (your environments/experiences/group times based on the plans).
💡Select your choice of document type (e.g. ‘Jotting’) to showcase plans in action

5

Evaluate/Reflect:

Write a reflection with Coach Sue on your journeys

💡Select ‘Reflection’ as your document type to evaluate, reflect and determine next steps
