Here is how easy it is to create a Learning Plan in a Journey in Mana

  1. Once you've created your learning story, i.e., observation, you'll notice that Mana has generated three follow-up options or "where to go from here" suggestions, each with different ideas or activities to further support the child.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of your screen where you'll find the "Follow up" button. Click on Coach Sue and simply click on the follow-up that best suits what you would like to work on with the child next, or click "other" and write your own.

  3. After selecting a follow-up, a message box will appear providing an overview of the follow-up and asking if you'd like Mana to create a plan based on your selection. Choose "Create" to proceed.

  4. Mana will now begin generating a learning plan or activity tailored to the chosen follow-up. This will be places in the child's learning journey under relevant stage.

  5. A learning plan is now ready for you to implement with the child.

  6. To support you with better workflow you can now add your Learning Plans from Journeys into the Curriculum. Simply select Curriculum icon in list view format.

  7. Browse Groups and select relevant Group and Curricula i.e. Room and the Curriculum Plan you would like the Learning Plan to go into

  8. Once selected it will be highlighted and indicate which Curriculum Plan it has been added to.

Please Note: While we provide follow-up suggestions, we encourage educators and teachers to exercise their professional judgment. You're not obligated to use Mana's suggestions; feel free to create your own and make edits as needed.

And that is how you create a Learning Plan here on Mana!
