Simple answer is yes!

Step-by-step video on how to create group learning stories while capturing individual learning on Mana:

Tip: When creating your group observation i.e. learning story in "Learning Journeys" make sure to add all your children's names, their voices and relevant information about each child. Start in a single child's Journey.

Group story in a Journey:

1. Navigate to Journeys in Mana.

2. Click on one child’s profile (e.g., Alice).

3. Open their Journey and select where to start the document (e.g., under “Observe”).

4. Select +Doc

5. Write/speak in your notes and include details about the general experience and individual observations about what each child gained from the experience.

6. Click Submit once your story notes are complete.

7. Under the Stage, find the story and click Options > Copy to.

8. Select all other children journeys included in the observation.

The group story is now in each child’s Journey. You’ll need to personalise it:

  1. Click into the story

  2. Use Magic Edit on the story.

  3. Type in command to tailor the story to the child (eg: "Focus the assessment on [Child name]")

  4. Review and adjust the wording to ensure it reflects the learning you've observed.

  5. Repeat the process for each child.

Linking the story to a Room Program/Curriculum:

If you’re using the Curricula feature:

  1. Find the story you'd like to link in a child's Journey

  2. Click Options > Copy to > Group.

  3. Select the relevant group (e.g., Kindergarten).

  4. Go to Curricula in the side panel

  5. Select the group

  6. Select the curriculum

  7. Find the learning story you just linked in the "unsorted" column

  8. Drag and drop it into the correct learning area.

Happy writing!!
