With the latest Mana update, each child can now have only one active journey. This change simplifies documentation, improves clarity, and aligns better with planning cycles and outcomes.

For educators who previously had multiple journeys per child, Mana provides a seamless way to merge or complete old journeys, while preserving all your documentation.

This guide walks you through the journey migration process, showing how to migrate Journeys to "active" or "completed". Where choosing to keep multiple active will consolidate them into one.

1. Start the Migration

  • When you log in, Mana will prompt you if a child has multiple journeys.

  • Click “Get Started” to begin the process.

2. Choose the Active Journey

  • Mana will ask you to select the journey you'd like to keep active.

  • Click on your preferred journey, then click “Next”.

3. Decide What to Do with the Other Journeys

  • You’ll be presented with two options:

    • Combine: Check the boxes next to journeys you’d like to merge into the active one.

    • Complete: Leave them unchecked if you want to close those journeys but still keep them accessible for future reference.

4. Combine Your Journeys

  • If merging, click “Combine Journeys”.

  • Mana will combine the selected journeys, and retain all documentation (e.g., observations, reflections, and plans).

  • These are added as goals in the newly merged journey.

✅ Key Points to Remember

  • You won’t lose any documents- everything is retained.

  • Closing a journey doesn’t delete it, you can still view it later in "Completed" Journeys (Select [Child] > Select View Journeys > Filter to "Completed" > Select Journey to view)

  • Consolidation improves planning clarity and aligns with best practice.
