Understanding reporting in Mana: Journey insights and Grow insights

Leaders can view Journey and Grow reporting at centre level or organisation level.

Written by Sithmi Rajapaksa

Mana gives managers a clear picture of how their team and children are tracking — without having to dig through individual records.

Who can see reporting

Team managers and team owners see reporting for their centre from the Home screen.

Org managers and org owners see reporting across all centres in their organisation from Org → Insights.

Both the centre and org detail pages show a timestamp ("Updated X min ago") and an Email CSV button so you can export data directly to your inbox.

Journey insights audits and refreshes once a day. If you need the data updated sooner, you can trigger a manual update by stage. Grow insights refreshes automatically every hour — there's no manual refresh needed.

Centre-level reporting

Available to: team manager, team owner

From your Home screen, you'll see summary cards for Journey insights and Grow insights. Click the → on any card to open the full detail page.

Journey insights — Home → Journey insights

Journey insights shows how children's learning journeys are progressing through the planning cycle at your centre.

Team overview — total children at your centre, how many have active journeys, and your overall journey participation percentage.

Status breakdown — each child's journey is assigned a status based on how their progress tracks against the expected timeline. Click any card to see the list of children in that group.

  • On track — the journey is progressing in line with the expected timeline for the planning cycle

  • Falling behind — the journey is moving more slowly than expected and may need attention before the review date

  • Off track — the journey has fallen significantly behind the expected timeline; the child's key educator may need support to get it moving

  • No journey — the child doesn't have an active journey started yet

By room — a breakdown of journey status for each room at your centre. This lets you see at a glance which rooms need attention, without opening each journey individually.

Grow insights — Home → Grow insights

Grow insights shows how educators at your centre are progressing through their professional learning journeys.

The summary card on your Home screen shows three quick counts: Members with journeys (educators in your team with an active Grow journey), Managers with journeys (managers at your centre with an active Grow journey), and Child journeys (children at your centre with an active learning journey).

Team overview — total educators at your centre, how many are active in Grow, and your overall Grow participation percentage.

Status breakdown — each educator's Grow journey is assigned a status based on their progress. Click any card to see the educators in that group.

  • On track — the educator is progressing through their Grow journey as expected for where they are in the year

  • Falling behind — progress has slowed and the educator may benefit from a check-in or extra support

  • Off track — the educator's journey has stalled significantly; they may need direct support from their manager or mentor

  • Not started — the educator hasn't started their Grow journey yet

Centre setup — flags any activation gaps that need your attention, including children who need a key educator assigned, rooms without a key educator, children without a room, team invites pending, and parent invites pending.

Org-level reporting
