Mana Families brings shared learning, family contributions and conversations with educators together. This guide introduces the updated experience; your access and available features depend on your early learning setting and the family access it has given you.
Follow learning from Home and Goals
Home brings together updates shared with your family. Use Filter and sort to focus on a child, the people who created an update, or unread updates.
Goals shows the learning priorities shared through your child’s Journeys and room Programs. These records help families and educators connect what they notice in different parts of a child’s life.
Choose a Plan and share a Memory
Families with Full access for the child can choose Create a plan, explore suggestions, and select Add this plan to keep one in Currently doing. Plans are a choice for your family; receiving an educator’s update does not automatically assign one.
With Full access, use Create to start a Memory about something you noticed at home. Check the child, add a title and a caption or ready photo/video, then use Share when you want to share it. Starting a draft does not share it.
Keep the conversation connected
Use Discuss on a shared document to open the relevant child conversation with that document attached as context. If asked, choose which child the discussion is about before writing.
Available Chat channels depend on your setting. Announcements are for reading; family conversations and some room channels allow replies.
Add your family’s perspective
When your setting enables All About Me, family members with Full access can contribute their child’s interests, routines, languages and cultural context. The conversation with Sue is distinct from the information submitted to the child’s profile for educators to use.
You can also open Sue, called Ask Sue in the mobile navigation, for ideas. Use your own judgment about what suits your child and situation.
Choose language and notification preferences
Open Account to choose Document language and Notification preferences. A new document language becomes the default for future shared documents; older documents can be translated individually.
Push and email choices are separate. Email schedules use your selected Email timezone; delivery time can vary.
