Open Goals in Mana Families to explore the learning records shared with your family. Journeys follow your child individually, while Programs show what their room or home group is exploring together. Plans are practical suggestions your family can choose to try at home.
Your child’s Journeys and goals
A Journey brings together a period of your child’s learning and the developmental priorities their educators are working on. A goal describes a focus for that learning.
Educators create and update Journeys using what they notice about your child. Your family brings another view: interests, routines, language, culture and experiences that educators may not see during the day.
In Goals, open an available Journey to explore its information. If you have several children, use the child filter to focus on one. Completed Journeys can be revisited through the completed collection.
The number and timing of updates can vary. Ask your child’s educators about the goals they have chosen or what they are noticing; the app does not replace that conversation.
Programs show the group’s learning
Programs concern the room or home group your child learns with. Educators plan and lead these experiences for the group’s development.
Open a shared Program from Goals to learn more. A Program and an individual Journey offer different context, so you may see both. You do not need to reproduce the group’s program at home.
Choose Plans that suit your family
Creating Plans requires Full access for your child. Ask your setting to check your family access if this action is unavailable.
On Home, use Create a plan in the Plans section to request suggestions for your child. Open a suggestion to understand it, then select Add this plan if you want to keep it under Currently doing.
Plans are chosen explicitly. Reading an update does not mean your family has agreed to complete an activity. Try an idea when it fits your routines, follow your child’s response, and return to it if it remains useful.
Use Mark as complete to move a saved Plan to Completed, or Move to currently doing to revisit it. A completed Plan records your family’s use of the idea; it is not a developmental score.
Share what you notice
You can contribute a Memory or use Discuss on an available update to add context. For questions about a goal or Program, contact your child’s educators in Chat. See Follow your child’s learning for reading and discussion steps.
