The Goals section in Mana Families gives you a window into what your child's educators are focusing on — the goals they've set, and how you can support that learning at home.
💡 This article describes Families 2, the updated family experience. If the app on your phone doesn't match what you see here, your centre is still on Families 1 — that's set by your service, not something you can change yourself. Every service moves to Families 2 on 24 August 2026, so you'll see this experience by then whatever your centre does in the meantime.
What you'll see in Goals
Each goal card shows a short title that describes the focus area for your child. Goals can come from your child's individual learning journey or from the centre's broader curriculum program. Your educator sets these based on what they're observing about your child's development and interests.
If you have more than one child enrolled, you can filter the Goals view by child.
Try at Home ideas
Under each goal, you may see Try at Home ideas. These are practical suggestions your educator has created to help you extend your child's learning outside of the centre — things like activities, conversations, or experiences you can do together.
Ideas are grouped under the goal they relate to, so you can see why each one has been suggested and how it connects to what your child is working on.
Questions about your child's goals?
If you'd like to know more about a particular goal, send a message to your child's educator in Chat. They're best placed to walk you through what they're noticing and what you can expect next.
