Use Follow Up in a Grow Meeting to add agreed actions to your Grow Journey and keep track of whether they are complete. You can write an agreed follow-up in your own words.
These steps are for your own meeting in Mana on the web. You need an active Grow Journey to add follow-ups. The Follow Up stage must be open for editing.
Add your own follow-up
Open Grow. Find Mentoring and select Open.
Choose your scheduled meeting, then select Follow Up on the One-on-one page.
Under Add a follow-up, select Write a follow-up action and enter what you agreed to do. For example: “Try a smaller discussion group and note who joins in.”
Select Add to Journey.
Add the agreed action to your Grow Journey
Check that the action appears under From this meeting with In Journey. The entry field clears after the action has been saved.
Adding the action to your Grow Journey keeps the next step alongside your ongoing professional learning. In Journey means the action has been added; it does not mean the work is finished.
If adding the follow-up fails, the entry field keeps your text. Check the message, then try Add to Journey again. If it still fails, contact Mana support and describe what you see.
Mark an action complete
In your Grow Meeting’s Follow Up stage, find the action labelled In Journey. When the work is finished, select the circle control labelled Mark follow-up complete. A completed action appears with its text crossed out. To change it back, select Mark follow-up incomplete on the same control.
The From this meeting list shows actions associated with the meeting you opened. It is not a progress total for your whole Grow Journey.
Finish your follow-up review
When you have reviewed the next steps, select Done for the Follow Up stage. You can do this even when there are no actions to add, or when agreed actions still need to be carried out.
Done finishes this stage of the meeting; it does not complete every action. If the whole Grow Meeting is complete, select Reopen meeting first. To make further changes in Follow Up, select Reopen for the stage.
Why does Mana need meeting notes for follow-up suggestions?
Follow-up suggestions should reflect what you and your mentor discussed and agreed. Meeting notes give Mana that context so you can review suggestions against the conversation.
If you already know the next step, you can add it yourself. In Follow Up, enter it under Add a follow-up in Write a follow-up action, then select Add to Journey. You do not need to generate suggestions first.
Does In Journey mean my follow-up is complete?
In a Grow Meeting, In Journey tells you the follow-up is linked to your Grow Journey. It does not tell you whether the action is complete: the label stays on both unfinished and completed follow-ups.
When the work is finished, select Mark follow-up complete. A completed action has its text crossed out, and the control changes to Mark follow-up incomplete.

For your own Grow Meeting in Mana on the web, use the Prepare, Meet and Follow Up stages. To add an agreed action yourself, open Follow Up, enter it under Add a follow-up in Write a follow-up action, then select Add to Journey.
Check that it appears under From this meeting with In Journey. Generating suggestions is optional for this task.
