How do I teach Mana to write like me?

Mana will learn how you like to write and sound like you using just a short passage of text. This means that all of your learning documentation will authentically sound like you.

There are two ways to go about this:

Option 1:

To set up Writing Style:

  1. Log into Mana and click on your profile in the top left corner of your screen.

  2. Next click on "Profile & Preferences".*

  3. Click "Writing Style" under Capabilities.

  4. Click Edit Writing style. And in this section copy a paste pieces of your writing.

Tip: This can be a previous Learning Story or an Observation you have written.

  5. Click “Update”

*For Centres and Organisations please note you can set Capabilities including writing style at an organisational level in "Team Settings". Educators can then set their own preferences as an additional layer to personalise documents, blending team and personal influences into their writing.

    Option 2:

  1. Another way you can access and update Writing Style in Mana is from "Writing settings" when you are creating a new document .

Go ahead and click the "Writing settings" icon to get started.

  2. If you click "Edit" next to "A sample of my writing" you can then review your writing sample and make changes. Simply click "Close" to exit out of the writing settings popup and return to your writing.

  3. Mana also has the option to provide feedback/request an edit on completed documentation.

Open up a Journey, Doc or Curriculum Plan you would like to provide feedback for. Click on the black Magic Actions button on the right bottom corner and select "Magic edit" option if something doesn't quite sound like you. You can explain exactly how you’d like the text to change- whether it's adjusting wording or refining details. Once you submit your request, Mana will take your feedback on board and update the story to your requirements!

And that's it. Immediately, your new learning documentation will have a "you" flavour. How cool is that?
