How do I set up a Program Template for a Room?

Set the columns, optional rows and order used when new Programs are created for a Room.

Use a Room’s Program Template to choose the columns and optional rows that appear whenever you create a new Program for that Room.

Good to know: Changes to a Program Template apply to new Programs only. Programs already set up won’t change.

If the Program Template is read-only for you, you can still view it. Ask a manager or owner to make changes.

Open the Room’s Program Template

  1. Select Program from the left menu.

  2. Select the Room you want to update. If it isn’t shown under Key Rooms, select View all.

  3. Select Profile.

  4. Under Program, select Program Template.

Choose the Program columns

  1. Select Program columns.

  2. Select Add column.

  3. To use existing areas, choose one or more, then select the button showing your total, such as Add 1 column or Add 3 columns.

  4. To make a new option, select Create new column, enter its name, then select Create and add.

Choose the Program rows

  1. Return to Program Template, then select Program rows.

  2. Select Add row.

  3. To use existing areas, choose one or more, then select the button showing your total, such as Add 1 row or Add 3 rows.

  4. To make a new option, select Create new row, enter its name, then select Create and add.

Rows are optional. The same area can be used as both a row and a column when that layout suits your Room. Anything you create here becomes available to every Room in the service.

Set the order

On the Program columns or Program rows page, drag the saved areas into the order you want. Mana shows a confirmation when the new order has been saved.

What happens next?

Each new Program created for the Room starts with the columns, rows and order saved in its Program Template.

Why didn’t an existing Program change?

This is expected. A Program keeps the layout it had when it was created, so changing the Room’s Program Template does not rearrange work already underway. The next Program you create for the Room will use the updated template.
