Invite a parent or family member from the child’s Family sharing page in Mana. Choose the access they need, then send an invitation to their email address.
Before you invite someone
Make sure you have the correct child and the family member’s email address.
You need access to the child’s Family sharing page. If the option is missing, ask your manager to check Families settings and your access.
Open Family sharing
Open Journeys and use Search children to find the child.
Open the child’s three-dot menu and select Family sharing.
You can also open the child’s Profile and select Manage family access under Family.
Send the invitation
Select Invite. The Invite family dialog opens.
Enter the family member’s email address in Email.
Under Access, choose Full access or View and discuss.
Check the address and selected access, then select Send invite.
Choose the family member’s access
Full access — can update the child’s details and invite others to edit or view the child.
View and discuss — can view shared information and join available discussions.
If your invitation opens a Share profile dialog, enter the email address, choose Parent for editing access or Viewer for viewing and discussion access, then select Invite. The updated screen calls these access levels Full access and View and discuss.
What happens next?
The family member has no access from the invitation until they accept it. Ask them to open the invitation and sign in or create their Mana account using the same email address you invited.
If your service uses Families 2, the Family sharing page separates people who are Waiting to join from those who are Connected. Check this page when a family member says they cannot see the child.
Change a connected family member’s access
If your service uses Families 2, open the child’s Family sharing page and check that you have the correct connected family member. Select their current access, then choose Full access or View and discuss. Check that the row shows the intended access after the update.
