How to preview the Families view as a parent

Preview the family experience on Mana by adding yourself as a parent contact to a test child

To preview Mana Families, invite your own educator email address as a family contact for a service-approved test child, then switch to your parent account.

Prepare the test child

Use demonstration content already shared for the test. If Families is disabled, follow How to enable family sharing and invite families.

Invite yourself

  1. In Journeys, find the test child.

  2. Open the child’s three-dot menu → Family sharing → Invite.

  3. Enter your educator email, choose Full access, check the child and address, then select Send invite.

Enter your educator email, choose Full access, then Send invite.

Accept and switch

  1. In your account menu, open Settings → Invitations and accept the test child’s invitation.

  2. Open the account menu → Switch and choose your parent account.

  3. When finished, switch back to your educator account.

The preview shows only content shared with that family account; joining does not share every document automatically.
