All About Me helps you tell educators what matters to your child and family. Sue guides the conversation so that interests, routines, home languages and family experiences can contribute to a shared understanding of your child.
Open All About Me
To contribute through All About Me, your setting must have enabled it for your child and your account needs Full access. Viewing information already available to you is separate from permission to add or change it.
Open Account in Mana Families.
Select your child.
Under About, select All About Me to open the conversation with Sue.
The child’s profile shows a status such as Needs attention or Complete. Opening the conversation does not, by itself, complete All About Me.
If you have more than one child, check the child’s name before you begin so the information belongs to the right profile.
Share what is useful
Follow Sue’s prompts and describe what you would like educators to understand. You might include:
Interests, play or activities your child enjoys.
Routines and things that help them feel comfortable.
Languages, culture and relationships that matter at home.
Something your child finds difficult, or a question you want to explore together.
Your hopes and priorities for their learning.
You do not need professional language or a polished observation. A specific example is often more helpful than a general label. Your child may respond differently at home and in their early learning setting; that difference can be useful context for a conversation.
Understand what is shared
The private conversation with Sue is separate from the All About Me information submitted to your child’s profile. The submitted profile information can be used by educators to understand your child and discuss learning with you. Do not assume information intended for the profile remains only in a private chat.
Follow Sue’s prompts to finish contributing, then return to your child’s profile to check its status. If it still shows Needs attention, reopen All About Me to continue or check what remains.
If you cannot open or finish it
Try opening All About Me again from the correct child’s profile. If the problem continues, ask your early learning setting to check your access and whether All About Me is available for your child.
