Mana needs your device’s permission to show notifications. You can allow them in your phone’s settings and choose which Mana alerts you want in Account → Notification preferences.
On iPhone or iPad
Open your device’s Settings app.
Open Notifications and select Mana. On some versions, you can also find this under Apps → Mana → Notifications.
Turn on Allow Notifications.
Choose where alerts appear, such as the Lock Screen, Notification Centre or banners, and whether they make a sound.
Choose the presentation that suits you. You do not need every alert style turned on to receive notifications.
On Android
Open your phone’s Settings app.
Open Notifications → App notifications, then select Mana. Your phone may place this under Apps → Mana → Notifications instead.
Turn notifications on and review any separate notification categories shown for Mana.
The wording and placement vary by device and Android version.
Choose your Mana alerts
In Mana Families, open Account → Notification preferences. The push choices are New documents shared and Messages from staff. These are separate from email preferences.
See Choose your notification preferences for the email options, frequency and timezone.
If an expected alert does not appear
Check both the device permission and the relevant Mana push preference. On your device, review Focus, Do Not Disturb or other settings that may silence or delay alerts.
Allowing notifications does not guarantee that every alert arrives immediately. If the problem continues, email [email protected] and include your device type and which alert you expected. For an urgent question about your child, contact their early learning setting directly.
