Open Account → Notification preferences to choose the family updates Mana sends you. Account → Notifications opens the notification list instead.

Choose push and email updates

The push controls are:

  • New documents shared — alerts about newly shared documents.

  • Messages from staff — alerts about messages from educators.

You can choose these separately. For example, leave Messages from staff on while turning off New documents shared.

The email controls are:

  • Shared documents — emails about shared documentation.

  • Community updates — emails about community announcements.

These choices cover different kinds of update. Turning off one does not necessarily turn off every message from Mana or your early learning setting.

Choose family-update email frequency

Select Email frequency and choose:

  • Immediate — updates are queued promptly outside the overnight quiet period of 8 pm to 7 am.

  • End of day — a daily summary scheduled around 6 pm.

  • Weekly — a summary scheduled around 6 pm on Friday.

  • Off — turns off family-update emails, including Shared documents and Community updates.

Frequency does not control every account email or push notification. Scheduled times are approximate; an email is not guaranteed to arrive at an exact minute.

Check your email timezone

Select Email timezone to choose the clock used for these schedules.

Automatic uses your profile country and falls back to Australia/Sydney if needed. If that does not match where you want to receive updates, choose an explicit timezone. The schedule follows your selected timezone, not a universal Australian time or necessarily your child's setting's time.

If an alert does not arrive

Check the relevant Mana preference first. For push alerts, also check whether your device or browser permits Mana notifications. A preference cannot override a blocked device permission.

For an ongoing technical problem, email [email protected] with the notification type, what you checked and any error message.
