Getting started with Mana: self sign-up guide

Everything you need to sign up, activate Mana at your centre, and get your team up and running.

Written by Sithmi Rajapaksa

If you're a family daycare or a single centre, you can get Mana up and running yourself in a few straightforward steps. This guide walks you through everything from signing up to getting your educators started.

Step 1: Sign up

Create your Mana account at app.makemana.com. You'll need an email address and a few minutes to get your account set up.

Step 2: Choose your subscription

Once you're in, select the plan that suits your centre. If you need to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any point, you can manage that yourself — no need to contact anyone.

Step 3: Activate Mana at your centre

As the centre manager or nominated supervisor, you'll set Mana up at the centre level first. This includes uploading your centre resources so Mana has the context it needs to support your team well.

Step 4: Get your educators activated

Once the centre is set up, each educator completes their own activation, setting up their profile, selecting their roles, and adding their teaching philosophy. This is what allows Mana to personalise the experience for them.

Step 5: Start your cycle of planning

With everyone set up, your team is ready to begin documenting, planning, and tracking children's learning on Mana. This guide walks through how the individual cycle of planning works from start to finish.

Need help along the way? Use the chat bubble in the bottom right corner of Mana to reach our support team at any point.
