Discuss a shared document

Use Discuss to keep a question or observation connected to your child's shared learning.

Select Discuss on a shared document to message educators about that update. The document stays linked to your conversation.

Open the discussion

  1. On Home, find the document and select Discuss.

  2. If asked Which child is this about?, choose the intended child.

  3. Check the child and linked document, then write in the reply field.

  4. Use the send control when ready. Opening Discuss or cancelling the child chooser sends nothing.

Continue the conversation

Return to the child’s conversation in Chat. For a message unrelated to an update, start in Chat instead. See Talk with your child's educators in Chat.

If Discuss or replies are unavailable

Availability depends on the shared document, child, channel and your membership. Ask your setting which contact route to use; do not choose another child to bypass it. For a technical error, email [email protected].
