View photos and videos in Mana Families

Open shared media, use the viewer controls and understand disabled downloads.

Open a photo or video in a shared update to view it larger. In Mana Families on the web, the viewer keeps the media separate from its controls.

View photos and videos

1. Open the update from Home.

A shared update on Mana Families Home. 1 marks the title to open the update; the example uses synthetic demo content for Maya P.

  1. On Home, find your child’s update. Open its photo or video, or open the update and select the media.

  2. Use the bottom Next and Previous arrows to move between items. The counter at the top shows your position, such as 2 of 14.

  3. For a video, use the Play/Pause control below it. Web videos start muted: select the speaker icon to turn sound on or mute it again.

  4. Select Close (×) at the top right to return to the update.

Why are downloads disabled?

In Mana Families on the web, selecting Download currently shows Downloads are disabled. You can still view the files in Mana. Ask your centre if you need a copy, then select Got it to return to the viewer.

Downloads are disabled in Mana Families: files can still be viewed, and a copy can be requested from the centre. 1 marks Got it.
